What is your make-up routine each morning? It’s easy to get stuck on autopilot. So here are five make-up-artist-approved ways to shake things up.
1. Eyes first
Because if your eyeshadow drops or mascara smudges, you can clean it up – then perfect your skin.
2. Double line
Line upper lashes in liquid, then run a shadow of the same colour over the top. It locks your liner in place and erases any wobbly bits.
3. Concealer before foundation
Particularly around the eyes, as the former can add grip and staying power to the latter.
4. Mist at every stage
Don’t save facial mist for the end. Make-up artists spritz it after perfecting each feature, keeping skin dewy and products blendable.
5. Liner after lipstick
Always do it the other way round? Lining post-lipstick nips blurry edges in the bud and keeps colour from straying.
